Barbara Elisabeth (*Nittritz)* Lee Albert passed away peacefully on Friday,
October 17, 2014, with her family at her side. *Born in Silesia, Germany to
- Eltern: Erich Josef and Henriette Elise (Heisler) Nittritz, Barbara lived
with her parents at the Gleiwitz Radio Station* where she was an
eye-witness to the beginning of World War II in 1939. She met and married
William Grant Lee, an American GI, in Fussen, Germany; and, in 1948,
immigrated to Los Angeles as a "war bride."
