My g-grandfather was August Jacob from Tschepplau, his parents names are
Gottlieb and Elizabeth (Peschel) Jacob. There is a family story about
August's six brothers, that they were Palace guards, guarding the Kaiser
(1865-1875). I don't know if it is true, but what military Regiment would I
look up to prove it?
Gottieb and all his sons were butchers, are there records of a butcher guild?
