Facts:
My g-grand left Gesmold, Hannover (near Osnabr�ck) in early 1854 and
traveled to the port of Le Havre for his trip to America.
My question:
This is the only stage of his trip that I know nothing about. I
understand that rail service was available to Paris in 1854 but am
interested in any educated guesses on how he traveled between Gesmold
and Havre.
Assume:
1. He could afford train tickets
2. Traveled late January through early March
