Dear Christopher,
below the translation. Have you kept in mind my question for Anton Grallert from Voigtsdorf?

KRZESZÓW/GRUSSAU

The village Krzeszów is connected with the 1292 from Fürst Bolko I. Surowy established fraternity of the Cistercians since the medieval ages. During the Hussitian wars and the war of 30 yaears the monastery was destroyed. It has been restaurated in the 18th century. The cathedral of Maria (built in these years) was decorated with wall paintings from J.W. Neunhertz (1733 – 1735) between 1728 - 1735 and sculptures of the bohemian artists F.M. Brokof and A. Dorasil (before 1775). The huge hall-like building with transept, projecting galleries between the over corner positioned pilasters and a representative façade with two towers is one of the best compositions of buildings of that kind. The far viewable towers enjoy through their tallness and elegance. Seen from the near the facade infatuates with the connection of architecture and sculptures. The southern part of the transept is connected with the baroque monastery building. the mausoleum of the Schweidnitzer Piasten (1735 – 1747) with gothic gravestones from duke Bolko I and Bolko II is connected to the cathedral.
