I'm not sure. All I know is that this family (Frauendoerfer) is listed in
"German Immigrants" as having come to the U.S. from Greisbach in 1854 on the
ship Republic. I first wrote to Archiv des Erzbistums M�nchen und Freising
thinking it could be the Greisbach located south-east of M�nchen. They
suggested I contact the archivs at Augsburg, Regensburg or Passau.

Hello, I knows a further Griesbach. That is or was a village in
Hohenlohekreis in the digester valley in bathe Wuerttemberg! Does that
help?
