Thanks for the info. I was on an internet site and found such records.
They were listed as town records available on some towns in Germany before
church records were kept. I was called away from the computer and then
forgot to record the website. It is a big puzzle for me and I went back
through all my emails trying to find the website and am at a loss as how to
retreive it so I could copy the info. The records mentioned were tax
records and other specific community record books. Of course, these records
are not available unless you go to that town or they were microfilmed by the
LDS. Just thought someone out there may have the web address.
