I´ve never heard a female name like Torodke. I guess that is wrong writing or an American form of Dorothe(e) or Dorothea which had been and are still very common names in Germany.

Maybe you should also consider a derivation from the name Gertrud.
Trudchen, Trudeke (Drudeke) are in Germany known as "Lallnamen".
In English a kind of nickname (hypochoristic name).
In the way a child pronounces/shortens a (longer) name of an adult.
Torodke sounds a bit like "Trudeke" (to me).
