Adelheid Feldhaus death certificate dated 11 Jan 1923 gives her address as 2267 Indiana, age about >84, and gives parents names... Father..Lucas Feldhaus...Mother Adelheid Toben...???

Note that the informant is a hospital attendant who apparently mixed up the info. Instead of writing down her parents names they mistakenly wrote down her name and her husband's name as her parents. Obviously, a clerical error.

How could the Adelheid Feldhaus who died in 1923 at the age of 84 be the daughter of Lucas >Feldhaus who died in 1883 at the age of 57? She couldn't be the daughter of the Lucas Feldhaus >who is buried in same plot with her.

Right - she couldn't be.

Adelheid age 84 years in 1923 indicates she was born circa 1839.

Right she was the daughter of Johann Heinrich Toebben and Helena Wolters. Are you aware of
the www.emslanders.com site? Margaretha Adelheid Toebben and Lukas Feldhaus are listed there
including their passenger list info. This also matches her marriage record (see below).

Lucas Feldhaus age 57 in 1883 indicates he was born circa 1825.

Right this matches with the information from the emigration records at the state archives
in Osnabrück: Lukas Feldhaus of Lähden, 33 years old in 1859 or about 1826 which matches
his burial info. Moreover, his parents and passenger list, etc. are noted again on the www.emslanders.com website.

If the Adelheid Feldhaus who died in 1923 was not the wife of the Lucas Feldhaus who died in 1883 >who the heck is she? Or who the heck is the Lucas Feldhaus who died in 1883 at the age of 57?

Yes, she is the wife of Lucas Feldhaus.

The more I think about it ........ The more confused I am.

Have you checked the marriage records at St. Joseph for Johann Lucas Feldhaus and
Margaretha Adelheid Toebben on Sep 1, 1859. It lists their parents. Moreover, the baptismal
records for the children and their baptismal sponsors confirm the family relationships. The records
are available on-line at http://genealogyinstlouis.accessgenealogy.com/ just look under the
St. Joseph Catholic church records down the page.
Hope this helps clear up the confusion.
