KELLNER was from either the Lorraine or the Alsace.
There is an excellent moderated list , ALSACE-LORRAINE-L@rootsweb.com, where
you can use English, or French or German and always find somebody who will
respond. And they have several mavens aboard with great additional
suggestions.
(Just don't treat the two provinces like one!)
You didn't give your dates. Bunches of Palatines moved over to the
Siebenb�rgen area (Timisoara) and established German islands that thrived
for centuries. Do a search on Siebenb�rgen to get some of these "Romanian"
(or Transylvanian) Germans' information.
