Greetings List Members: I have been "lurking" at this site for several months. Although I don't speak or read German, I can identify familiar family names but have found none. Before I quit this web site for one that might be more appropriate for me, I am posting my family names in hopes that someone might recognize them.
Johann Herman THÖL, my ggg grandfather, b 1780 in Theenhausen, married Anne Marie KIEL in Theenhausen in 1804.
Herman Heinrich THÖL, my gg grandfather, b 1817, married Anna Ilsabien LANDWEHR (b 1818) in 1844 in Werther.
Herman Heinrich THÖL, my g grandfather, b 1846 in Werther, married Anna Marie KINDERMANN (b 1849 in Halle) in 1874 in Gelsenkirchen.
Herman Heinrich Thöl and Anna Ilsabein Landwehr had 7 children, most born in Werther. They all, including my gg and
g grandparents and my grandmother, Ida Thöl, emigrated to Nebraska and then Oregon in the USA in the 1880's.
