I've had a look through the British government PROCAT online records to see
if there's a mention of Theye/Thaye/Teye/Theje/Theije/etc. (!), which would
give an indication of which village/town your ancester originated. There's
no record of your name, not even in the Hannoverian army. I did find the
names 'de Tey' and 'Thaye' but they were landowners in England way back in
time. What surprised me was there are records showing Rosenbergs live/lived
in eastern Europe, I was particularly surprised to see they lived far to the
east in Russia "berg", to me, doesn't seem to be Russian.
