<deutschsprachige Nachricht weiter unten>
Dear list members,
as other members have already said: This is a bilingual list.
That means that list messages may be sent in English language as well as in German language. We even sometimes have messages in French or Spanish language which are okay, too.
Some list members are able to understand both, English and German language, others don't. All of those people are welcome to this list and may write messages in their favorite language.
So some discussions will be in English language and others will be in German language. And all of them are allowed as long as they are about genealogy.
If you don't understand any of them, just ask the people if they may translate the main content of a message or use a translation utility yourself. For example Bing Microsoft Translator – aus Englisch übersetzen or http://translate.google.com/
Most people on this list are very helpful if you ask them for a translation.
When writing messages, please always keep in mind that 1000 people all over the world will receive your message and will probably try to help you with your question.
So please stop discussions about the correct language and especially stop offending email messages. Let's get back to our research.
Kind regards
Juergen (Co-Admin of Hannover-L mailing list)
