I overlooked your posting the first time because I don't have any Tasset family, but I save all the postings, extracting the German ones so I can work on my German reading skills. While checking through them tonight I noticed that we have two things in common.
I am a genealogist for the Kitten family of Ibbenbueren in Westfalen. Part of that family settled in Windthorst and I am still close to the genealogist who does that part of the family. Considering how small Windthorst is, I found the coincidence interesting.
Then I noticed the word Heeke. One of the oldest Kitten ancestors was married to a Heeke. I haven't seen the name elsewhere and didn't know there was a town by that name. I can't look her up right now, but I will certainly get busy now that I have a new lead.
