Hallo alle zusammen,
ich suche nach Nicolai Gunther Taapken. Er starb 1802 mit 65 Jahren in
Kerteminde /Dänemark, so muß er ungefähr 1737. Ich habe ein wenig in
Wittmund und Umgebung gesucht, aber es sieht nicht so aus das er von hier
stammt. Ich glaube das es möglich ist, das er aus Oldenburg stammt.
Kennt ihr Gebiete in Oldenburg, wo der Familienname Taapken vorkommt oder
vorkam?

It appears that your Nicolaus/Nicolai Gunther Tappken was in Denmark by the time of his marriage, since -- judging from her name -- he married a Danish woman.
Your best bet would probably be to search the Danish records first. Perhaps you'll find a marriage record for Nicolaus/Nicolai that gives his birthplace.
