Hello!
I am very new to German Genealogy and I am hoping someone can help.
Family history says that one of my great grandfather's brothers moved
from Hinneryd, Kronoberg county in Sweden to Germany. I have a photo of
this brother, with his wife, 2 daughters, and a son. There is no date
on the photo and no names. On the back of the photo, is printed:
" Photographie-Atelier, O.V. Schwanewedel, Plau i/ Mecklbg.,
Stein-Strasse 192, Vergr�sserungen nach jedem Bilde, Ansichten v. Plau
u. Bad-Stuer, Lager von Photographie-Rahmen, Die Platte bleibt
aufbewahrt"
We don't know which of the brothers left, it is one of these 2:
Johannes Svensson, b. 2 July 1852 in Hinneryd, Kronobergs County,
Sweden
Jonas Svensson, b. also in Hinneryd, 19 Feb 1858
He left probably somewhere between 1870 and 1880. The Sweden parish
records were destroyed in a fire, so my hands are tied on this end. I
have no clue where to start in German research. ANY help at all would
be greatly appreciated, as I will be in Sweden in September for a
reunion and I would love to take this info with me.
