I am looking for any information on the Sudkamp family. I have information on Thes. Sudkamp born 1826 in Germany. His wife was Catherine Sudkamp also from Germany. On census reports Oldenburg is listed as the city Sudkamps are from. Do you have any information?
Those reports probably refer to the Grand Duchy of Oldenburg which was a
country back then. By 1826 it included the former Niederstift of the
prince-bishopric of Münster where most emigrants to the US came from.
Südkamp is a fairly common name.
