What kind of help are you looking for ? If you need a birth-certificate with
dates about parents, you should write to:

There are several BEITZEN-families (five) in 31191 Algermissen in 1995. I got it
right ? Your language is English and the program translates into German. Or is
it the other way round and you look for what became of him further in US after
marriage in 1862 ? mfg Hans Peter Albers

Hello Maria,

I cannot find a Wilhelm Beitzen in the United States. There is the 1880
census for all the states in the U.S. but there is no William Beitzen.
Either he died before then, he had a different spelling for his name or the
census-taker spelled it wrong. Would he have used another name like Henry?

      I have found:
Henry Beitzen living in Portage (Cass County) Indiana in 1870.

Henry Beitzen in Carroll (Ottawa County) Ohio. (date not given)

Henry Bitzen (different spelling)(age 60) in Carroll (Ottawa County)
          Ohio in 1880
Sophia Bitzen (age 63) Ida (age 14) and William (age 12)
But that record says Henry was born in "Macklenburg" (probably
Mecklenburg?). Probably not your family

Otto F. Beitzen (age 53) died in 1914 in Clinton (Cass County) Indiana

There is also the name of August Bitzen owning land in North Dakota.

That is all I can find. Do you know what William's wife's name was? Maybe
we could find something about her.
