Thank you Melanie for writing in English. It is easier for me.
I don't know what ship they came on and very little else. I will check other sources for passengers of the ship you mention. The date for your Strutz family seems right, but I don't know of additonal children who died on the way here.
My main source of information is a scrapbook with family pictures from my mother-in-law. She no doubt got her information about their coming from Mecklenburg from a family member. I got the date of immigration from a 1900 Census record of one of the Strutz children. So I don't know how accurate any of it is.
I have checked U.S. Census records, but have not yet found time to explore the German records. Of course, I have used FamilySearch.org to see if I can trace the family back before they came to U.S. No luck there. And I've checked the Ships list on M-L and passenger lists for Castle Garden and on Ancestry.
My information is that Johann or John Strutz Sr. and his wife Rica came from Germany to Rochester, NY. I believe that they both died there but I don't know an exact date and I haven't found an obituary or cemetery record for either one. One son named John C. Strutz and his wife Marie Werner or Warner went West to Northern Indiana.
 Thank you for your note.
Cordially,
