Hello Bernard,
My name is Joe Eickhoff and I live in Minnesota, USA. My Great-Grandfather
came from the Hoinkhausen area. His name was Casper (or Kaspar or Caspar)
1850 - 1915 emigrated to USA circa 1870 - 1872.
His Father was Casper Heinrich (or Kaspar or Caspar) 1792 - 1859 married
Angela Hanemann
His Father was Conrad 1754 - 1809 married Aloysia Schulte (name sometimes
spelled Eikhoff)
I also know Casper Heinrich had a Brother, Wilhelm who married Theresia
Regina
And a Sister, Maria who married Franz Hanemann.
That is all the information I have and would love to know more if possible.
Sorry I can't write in German. My German speaking is not very good.
Thank you,
Joe Eickhoff

Hey Joe,
I don't have many data on Hoinkhausen, but I can provide some info
from the book "Geschichte des Kirchspiels Hoinkhausen" ('History of
the Parish of Hoinkhausen') to you, written in abt. the 1930s by
Heinrich Schlootkötter and Wilhelm Hültenschmidt.
They list the Hoinkhausen, Oester- and Westereiden houses with their
heads of families, unfortunately without any dates of birth or death.
Also, these infos should be proved by a look into the original church
book entries, as there might be incertainties due to the missing dates
of birth and death, also of marriage in this Hoinkhausen-book.
For Westereiden, House-No.18 ("Lübbert"), it lists:
Caspar Heinrich Eickhoff from Oestereiden oo19.05.1838 Angela
Hanemann, widow of Franz Josef Kösters.
Her parents should then be Caspar Hanemann called Wieneke and either
Maria Magdalena Grote called Lübbert (1st wife, oo27.07.1794) or Maria
Catharina Hage from Ufeln, Werl (2nd wife, oo25.06.1805).
In Oestereiden, Caspar Heinrich Eickhoff would be born in House-No.22
(Witthoedt), his parents should be
Conrad Eickhoff called Polgöerts and Maria Louise (=Aloysia?!)
Schulte called Witthoedts - the year 1789 is given, maybe their date
of marriage - this might also be true for the following years given,
marked by me with an asterisk (*).
Louise's parents certainly were Joh. Friedrich Schulte (born in
Velbecke) and Maria Ursula Gerken - here the year 1758 is given (*).
Oestereiden - House-No.2 - Polgöerts:
Conrad Eickhoff's assumed parents:
Joh. Theodor Eickhoff called Polgöerts and Agnes Schütte from
Hegensdorf (given year: 1741*). Assumed parents of Joh. Theodor
Eickhoff: Heinrich Eickhoff called Polgöerts and Anna Maria Druffel
(given year: 1719*). Assumed parents of Heinrich Eickhoff: Theodor
Eickhoff from Meiste and Anna Eickmann (given year: 1694*).
Best wishes
Jens
