Hi Sue,
Go to expedia.com then click on the "Maps" tab at the top.
On the next screen click on "Find a Map"
Select "Search for a place" and type in Carwitz. and click Find a Map.
It will then give you some choices of places that are similar in name.
Select Carwitz, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany and click Find a Map.
The next screen will be a map. You can zoom in or out as you wish.
Carwitz is on a lake south of Feldberg, not far from Laeven and
Triepkendorf, where my Mueller ancestors came from. 
To see if records are available, go to the LDS site familysearch.org
Under Family History Library System, click on
"Search the Family History Library Catalog for records and resources"
On the next screen, click Place Search.
Type Carwitz in the top box. And go from there.
