Danke Ursula (Diedrich)

Dear Dean,
Thank you for your letter I received yesterday. By a mistake I think you have sent an old letter, because
I mean I have read this before. But I hope you are still in good health. I have not been feeling so well this
Summer but now I am ok again. The symptoms I had, have disappeared. I am very happy for that.
2 weeks ago Arne and I visited our daughter Lisbeth, her husband Kenneth and their little baby Emma. She
is now 14 months old and a little sweet girl. We do not see each other for some weeks because of the distance.
But now she is so old that she can recognize us when we visit her. That is lovely. We are looking forward to the
next weekend when they are visiting us here in Odense.
Now and then Arne is still working with our genealogy. Just now he is working to find out something about
tante Annas family (your mother-in-law) in Jutland. The father of tante Anna and her sister Petra was
Peter Jacques Honor (he was a baker). Annas mother was married twice, so tante Annas brother Andreas's
father was Carl Vilhelm Hansen, who was Annas mothers 2nd husband. These things are new to me. Another
thing we have found out is that tante Anna and uncle Svend were married on the same day as her sister
Petra and her husband Peter. Have you heard that before, Dean? When we find out of more, I shall tell
you.
I got your e-mail from 13. July. You wrote you was fine and your children too. I hope it is still the case.
Soon we are in the month of November and it has been dark early in the evening and cold too. But today
the sun has been shining and Arne and I have gone a lovely trip to the city of Odense.
During the latest week we have seen the terrible fire in California on TV. So many peaple have lost their homes.
Now I 'll stop. Have a nice Autumn, Dean. Many greetings to you and yours.
Love Lis.
