I am hoping someone can help me or at least point me in a good direction to
go.
The naturalization papers indicate that his country of origin is the "Kingdom
of Hanover"
George STOLBERG (1801-1866) immigrated in 1845 arriving at the Port of New
Orleans in January of 1846. He brought his family with him, his wife
Christina (or Christiana) Brittman (born 1809), daughters Sophia (born 1834
in Germany), Joanna (born 1839 in Germany) and son George H. (born Nov. 11,
1843 in Germany)
If someone could let me know the best way to go about finding this family in
Hanover, I would really appreciate it. This is the first I have tried
researching outside the United States, and am clueless about how to proceed.
