Erst einmal ein Hallo von einem Neuling!
Meine Urgroßeltern (väterlich) waren aus Neu-Schiemanen (Peter Stanischewski
und Elisabeth Stanischewski geb. Breber).
Sie haben 1914 in Groß-Schiemannen geheiratet. Mein Großvater, Eduard Paul
Stanischewski, ist als Obergefreiter nach Reichenstein in Schlesien gekommen
und hat 1942 meine Großmutter Ruth Agnes Elisabeth Baton geheiratet. Meine
Urgroßmutter Frederika Baton war eine geb. Umlauf.
'Wer kann mir mehr Auskunft zu meinen Großeltern geben?

My apologies for this email in English but I do not have the skills to write in
German.
I am attempting to locate information on my Schiemann ancestors, some of whom
lived near Gros Schiemanen, which I believe is located near NeuSchiemanen. I
noted your post to the Preussen List and wondered if you have sources for
locating information on the residents of the villages mentioned. They lived in
this area until approximately 1901, I believe. Therefore I am interested whether
you have any church books or civil records of this period and can help with my
search for information. The names include my great grandparents, Gottlieb
Wilhelm and Caroline Lisette (Buchmann). Any assistance would be greatly
appreciated and thank you in advance for any help.
