Hallo Ulrich,
schne Gre

Hello Ulrich and Annelotte,
I apologize that I do not understand German well and I cannot write in
German, but I do understand that you are searching for information from
Sierpc and that you, Annelotte, gave my name but had lost my email address.
Annelotte is correct that I am working to extract information from the
records of the Evangelical Church in Sierpc and I have on loan here at my
local FHL (Mormon) the films of the records from 1837-1885. As you know,
after 1865, the records are in cyrillic and I am not able to read those
myself.
If you are searching for a record in the years 1837-1866, I will be happy to
check the film and send you the information. Unfortunately our local library
does not have a scanner, but I can send you the extract and the reference.
With that information you would be able to order the film to view at a
library near you or order the record from Salt Lake City.
You may be interested in the organization Society for Genealogy of Germans
from Eastern Europe, www.sggee.org which is working together to research the
people from this area and from Volhynia. Several of us are working with the
records from Sierpc, Lipno, and Rypin/Michalki. We are always happy to be
connected with more people from this area.
All 4 of my grandparents were born in the area of Sierpc and the surnames I
search are:
MARKS, WUNSCH, KLAN, SCHWARTZ/CZARNECKI, KLAR, NEUMANN, BLASCHKE
I am happy to help you if I can.
