Has anyone else tried to request records from this database?
I sent my request back in November, 2003, in both German and English. A couple of weeks later, they responded with, "Please give us your mailing address, without it we can't answer".
So, I did that, and here it is February, and I'm still waiting. So, yesterday, I re-sent the original request - again.
Anyone else having to wait this long? Is this normal?

I would not say that this is 'normal'. However I would
name it a 'we all are used to things like this'. It
does happen from time to time. And, from November until
now, it is just 3 months. Nothing compared to my last
'long' experience, which took about 8 months for an
answer, just because the lady who opened my letter could
not read old church books. She did not know what to do,
and kept silent for the time.

I sent Staatdsarchive Osnabruck email to request records last Friday and got reply today Tuesday.
