St. Martins Church Neinburg an der Weser

Hello.
Am searching for information on the Schriever family who lived in Neinburg
an der Weser. Here is what information I have:

Henry Schriever b. about 1856 married 1881 to Wilhelmine Plumhoff b. 1855.
The church records should be at St. Martins Church in Neinburg an der Weser.

Henry Schriever's parents names were Carolina Quaider and Christian
Schriever (according to the Iowa 1925 census + ship documents).

They emigrated on the SS Main on 22 July 1882 to New York. They eventually
settled in Crawford Count Iowa and then Monona County Iowa.

When the emigrated they brought over Henry Schriever, his wife, Wilhelmine
Plumhoff, Henr's mother, Carolina Quaider, and Wilhelmine's daughter, Sophia
Plumhoff-Schriever (whom Henry may have adopted).

Wilhelmine's parents are Henry Plumhoff and Marie Plumhoff (again, from the
1925 Iowa Census).

Any help would be appreciated.
Much thanks,
Rachel Fafinski

Hello,
I believe the town you refer to is spelled Nienburg. If you look at
this page and scroll down, you will see address/phone for St. Martin:

Good luck,

I was checking my e-mail from Hannover and I noticed you sent a reply about
a website in regards to Churches in Nienburg. Do you know if their such a
website giving adresses for Churches in the Hildesheim, Hannover area?
Best Regards
Mike

Hi Mike,
If you do a search for Hildesheim in the LDS website, you will find a
list of churches. From that you could run a Google search to get addresses.
However, all but one are Catholic churches and you could use the LDS films
to look up records. If you need Evangelical Lutheran chuches, you should
just follow what Gale suggested.

Kirchenbuch, 1625-1875 Katholische Kirche Sankt Crucis Hildesheim

Kirchenbuch, 1643-1779 Katholische Kirche Sankt Magdalenae Hildesheim

Kirchenbuch, 1643-1933 Katholische Kirche Sankt Godehard Hildesheim

Kirchenbuch, 1644-1852 Katholische Kirche. Dom Hildesheim

Kirchenbuch, 1672-1803 Katholische Kirche Sankt Bartholomäum Hildesheim
(Hannover)

Kirchenbuch, 1694-1852 Katholische Kirche Moritzberg (Hildesheim)

Kirchenbuch, 1739-1834 Katholische Kirche Sankt Michael Hildesheim

Kirchenbuch, 1764-1807 Preußen. Armee. Füsilier Bataillon 05

In any case, that will all take a lot of time!

Barbara

The old address I have for St. Martin's Church is:

St. Martinskirchengemeinde
307 Nienburg/Weser
Kirchplatz 3

I don't have a zip. This info is from a letter from the church from the
1970s, I think.
