For example:
Streets:
Hildesheim Avenue (N-S) In McDermott and Hayden's Hannover Heights Addition of 1906, it was christened for the city of Hildesheim in Lower Saxony in Germany. The community was famous for its medieval architecture until destroyed in World War II. (Morganford)

Mom and I were talking while back and somehow we were taking about funerals.. Morbid!!
As a 4th grade catholic schoolgirl I attended my very first funeral. My entire class went to this funeral. The funeral was for my classmates grandparents, both grandparents had sucombed to carbon dioxide poisioning while sleeping.
Anyhow...
Mom tells me that Sharon's grandmothers surname was Strecker. Don't know if connected to the Strecker affiliated with the vatican approved miracle attribruted to St. Josephs Church.
Mom also tells me that the baseball hall of famer PeeWee Reese was this Grandmother Strecker's uncle and that he is often mentioned in stories regarding the Jackie Robinson, the very first major league baseball player of color.

Your supremely silly list friend,

P.S.
The site also mentions surnames JAHN and HECKER.. and others that might be of interest to somebody somewhere.. ![]()
