Hello
Information on Polish land records in the former German province of
South Prussia 1793-1806 are posted on the following website of my
son Dwight Drefs. Go to Reuben's Genealogy after opening the
following website: http://genealogy.drefs.net/
These records are those of the nobility estates which do not include
the royal crown lands or state owned villages known in German as
Amtsdoerfer. These records may provide clues to towns in which
Germans lived in 1794 before immigrating to Russia.
German farmers moved through southeran West Prussia into the Netze
district in the 1600s and by 1750 had reached Polish districts and
central Poland by 1800. The province of South Prussia, 1793-1806
may be a source of research for some of those families that
continued to move from West Prussia into Central Poland.

ps. The second half of the documents will be posted late 2003 or
early 2004.
