Thank you for this information. I did not look in the emigration archives
because I am not aware of it if it is online and if it is in German, I
wouldn't know what to do anyway. OTTO & FERDINAND SON[N]TAG are the two names I am
looking for -- both born about 1870 - 1876 in Germany.

3 Carl's listed. Two are in the Wolfenbüttel records with a date of 1847.
One Carl is in the Hannover records from Uslar.
Using the spelling of Sontag, there are several in the Wolfenbüttel
archives. They all come from Amt Holzminden:

Some of those are listed with a date of 1849. Another is 1867. I know
this is a long shot, but maybe there would be someone you are looking for.
