Some help needed / Luecke

Hello everybody and a very Happy 2012 from Gouda!

I'm busy (still) searching my family rooths. My great grandfather's
father came from Germany, Westfalen to Finland somewhere ar 1850-60.
He was born in 1834 and he was roman-catholic. His name is a very
common one for that time - Frans Josef Lücke. I've been looking for
his records in Finland but I'm still missing the place he was born. I
did find by my mothers a photo, on the back of which was "Frans Josef
and his first wife". It made me think that he was married in Germany
before he came to Finland. In Finland we have the records of his
marriage , to a Finnish lutheran girl and ab the born of their
children but somehow he managed to build a business and get married in
Finland without telling the authorities where he was born and who were
his parents?? I could not find him any dokuments from Germany so
far...

If there is somebody, who could tell me how to continue, where to check next ...
