Good Afternoon,
I may be completely on the wrong list, but I would appreciate it so much if
someone would be kind enough to help me.
For the past 15 years, I have searching for my family with a positive
identification. Through a male first cousin, we now have our DNA and
continued searching using that test as documentation.
I am searching for the Cuntz/Kuntz/Coons/Coontz (and many other spellings)
family. I now have information that a Philip Cunz (?) arrived in
Phildelphia on August 30, 1720 on the Ship Laurel. There were supposedly
240 passengers on that ship. The Captian was Capt. John Coppel. It was
out of Rotterdam, by way of Liverpool and Cork.
When I find the Ship Laurel, I can only find the name of one passenger.
Can anyone help me with this problem? I have searched the internet, but
perhaps there are some records in Germany or one of the other ports that
would have the manifest.
Thank you in advance for your help.
Sharlene (Coontz) Meyer
