My Great Great Grandfather was Johan Henrich Luebbehusen, baptized in the
Catholic Church in Bakum, Oldenburg. We believe he was the son of Bernard
Henrich Luebbehusen and Maria Agnes Meinerding, Bernard's 2nd wife, in
about 1822. Henry was Baptized in 1825. We believe he travelled, probably
from Bremen,to the USA through the port of New Orleans, LA, and eventually
settled for awhile in Cincinnati, Hamilton, Ohio, where he met and married
Marie Elisabeth Stahlkamp, who was born in Hannover in1826. They left Ohio
about 1850, and finally farmed in Dubois County, Indiana.
