I am trying to find out more about my HORAK ancestors. My father has traced the family history back to the first Horak who came to South Africa. JAN ANDRIES HORAK was born in Altendam, Hannover in 1704. He came to South Africa in the employment of the VOC (Dutch East India Company).
I have not been able to find out the names of his parents or siblings (if he had any). I would like to trace the family back from him and find out when they left eastern Europe. Any information would be greatly appreciated!
