I could not find out the Place where Johann Rudolph Schweer did
come from yet. There are several places called Oldendorf im
Osnabr�ckischen. I know they habe been two brothers from the same
Family but the Oldenburger Church books only give this Information
and the Oldendorf near Osnabr�ck Churchbooks do not have baptisms
of the years where they are born. I found the Name of their father
but cannot take the concret birth of these sons. Its the End of my
line yet. A
As you see we have the same ancesters :o)
I collect all Schweer/ Schweers( Yes it is the same familiy as you
can see) from the Friesische Wehde and I know there are several
emigrated to the USA and married others from Oldenburg region. So I
would apriciate your date to complete mine.

I also had two names with Gesine, do you know if they are good names or not? I found them from some US records. Some of the records came from a man in Germany. Like you, I will have to get them from the other computer. Let me know if you want it.

Hallo James,
thank you for the answer. I am very interested in any Schweer/ Schweers
from Northern Oldenburg. As I found out there are connections in most
of the times where the persons have the same name. The Problem with the
Schweer/ Schweers is, that one of the pastors some names wrote Schweer
and other children called Schweers. This is the German genitiv. There
are many families named Schweer/ Schweers, because this Surname comes
from the name they used to call the persons like mine Ingrid.( I just
lost the word for this) Some Persons have both same names.So the
Identity is not so easy to clear. Most of the people from the
"friesische Wehde", that�s the region north of Oldenburg, habe been
very very poor. But they could live cheap by moving after two or three
years. In the 1860th there was a big hungertime in Germany and many
people emigrated. The same happend after the first Worldwar in the
early twenties. I know from a brother of my greatgrandfather called
Bernhard who emigrated in about 1860-80 and a brother and a sister of
my grandma who emigrated in the 1920th. The last ones lived in
Willoughby/ Ohio.
If you have dates from your family or stories they told, you can make
shure the region. But I think this Gesine Elisabth Schweer is the one I
have send to you, because it is very seldom that two persons have the
same name and are born on the same day. The name Namken I also found in
the oldenburg churchbooks. Perhaps I have the weddingdates in my
papaers but I have now no time to surch for them because they are
unpacked until my home is ready.
