Schween aus Fürstenau

Hallo Liste,

Viele Gre
Heike

I am Valentine and i am in the area of Schaumburg Illinois USA where there were two men,
wilhelm Schween geb 1815 and Ernst/Ernest Schween geb 1810 in furstenau (Hanover aka Lower Saxony)
They came to the area in 1845ish.
Ernst Schween died 1875 at 64 years.
I am looking for the parents of these two men
and had for a moment thought that this Annna Sophie Schween was a sibling but i am not willing to be too quick.
I am not sure if the Furstenau that you notate is of the same furstenau of my interest.
I question this beccause i am not sure of my German geopgraphy and civil divisions but do know that there are at least 4 furstenaus in all of Germany today.

I write to you and hope that since your posted Schween was of Furstenau, that you also may have other schween materials
that might link to the Ernst and WIlliam of my area.

I will tell you that i am not a family member but a local area researcher and at present am looking for parentage for the two schween brothers to compliment
a cemetery monument of Ernst Schween.

In the Schaumburg Area here, Ernst was one of the charter members of the St Peters Ev Church
and was the first post master and was for a long while similar to the MAYOR.
It is sad for me to say, but there are not any buildings of the farm area that Ernst had, nor of the family cemetery that was on his property.
I have no images of either of the boys, or of the wives.
There are many children and grandchildren and great grandchildren for each of the two men at this time.

I suspect that you also know if the Lutheran church in Furstenau is still standing... ? and its name? Is it St Georg? And do they have their church books?

I thank you,
valentine
