I have a German ancestor, my GG G'father, FRANZ JOSEF SCHUCK, who emigrated departing from Antwerp
in Feb/March 1855 aboard the ship Cattel Wattel and emigrated to Australia. He was born on 09/06/1834 at Roßbach near Aschaffenburg, the 3rd son of Johann Martin Schuck (b) 28/04/1799 Roßbach (d) 07/03/1880 Roßbach, who married twice, the first time on 06/03/1832 in the Parish of Kleinwallstadt-Roßbach to Catharina Wetzel who was (b) 1802 Hofstetten (d)
14/03/1844 Roßbach. Franz was the 3rd child of 7 but the first born to reach adulthood.
Is anyone on this list able to shed any light on my Franz or his extended family?
For your info, Franz's father's second marriage was as follows:
2nd Marriage was on 10/11/1844 at Roßbach when Johann Martin Schuck
married Anna Barbara Fäth (b) 10/11/1844 (d)14/10/1865 at Roßbach.
Related names are FRIES, FATH, OBERLE, KRAUS, HOFMANN, AMRAIN and WETZEL and villages found to date include Roßbach near Aschaffenburg and Ebersbach.
