Thanks for your reply: My Schroeder line is from the area of Lippe in NW Germany. At one time Lippe was a state the Capital of which was Detmold. The City of Lippe is not far from the Netherlands Border.
This puts the towns of my line, East of Havover and Sout East of Bremen. Lemgo, Brake, Humerntrup, etc. Herman's last residence was in Bothfeld, now a suburb of Hanover.
