The name Peuse is pronounced "poise". I am not sure if they came from the
city of Schwerin or if it was a small village nearby. It is possible they
lived in the country and went to a church in Schwerin.
I just found out that the Schroeders came from Mecklenburg last week from
my great grandfather's brother's side of the family. I got the impression
that they may have lived in a village nearby.
How far are Schwann, Klein Belitz, and Satow from the city of Schwerin?
One of my relatives married a German girl. The two of them work together
to translate German records for me. Some of the records in the early
1800's from the province of Posen are extremely difficult to read. The
scribe or scribes were very sloppy.
I hope to do the same thing you did. I want to go back in the records as
far as I can. You have done a very good job. I just have had a difficult
time finding where they lived in Germany. Thanks for the info and stay in
