Hi, I'm looking for descendants or information of my Great Grandfather, Otto Anton Max Schlaegel. He married a Pauline Heinrich around 1884 and had 3 children that I know of, Alfred Anton Max (my grandfather) February 04, 1887, Max (killed in war)in 1916 and Elizabeth who married Emil Benedierks. Elizabeth & Emil had 2 children, Walter and Ilsa. Elizabeth was born January 30, 1885 and died December 25, 1918 and is buried with her parents. Ilsa married a Hermes and Ilsa was born in Oldenburg. Walter was born in Oldenburg also and married Erika ? and had a girl, Angelica. She should be still alive.
Otto was born December 26, 1856 and died June 28, 1935.
Pauline was born April 28, 1865 and died may 30, 1938.
My grandfather, Alfred, was the only one to leave Germany and became a citizen of the U.S. in about 1910. he had been a member of the German Army before and was in Engineering. He was born in Berlin.
The family lived in Berlin and in Bremerhaven, so please, if anyone can supply information for me, it would be greatly appreciated. I know they were not Catholic, but this is all I have on them. I do have some photographs of the cemetery, of them in their garden and the building they lived in, if that would help.
