Schlaegel, Benedierks

Hi Fred,
I searched my old Oldenburg address books and found the following:

Adddress book 1965/66:
- Benedierks, Walter, techn. Kfm. [might translate to 'technical salesman'], An den Voßbergen 31. [the Käthe-Kollwitz-Str. did not exist back then, he must have moved after 1965]

- Benedierks, Dora, Witwe [widow], Jahnstr. 2

- there were no Schlaegel, nor any Schlägel. There were several Schlegel, a.o.:

- Schlegel, Elisabeth, Rent. [OAP], Donarstr. 14

Then there is my address book from 1940:

- Benedierks, Emil, Bankbeamter [bank clerk], Jahnstr. 2. [This should be Dora's husband and Walter's father, I assume]

- no Schlaegel, Schlägel or Schlegel in 1940.

Hope this helps

Heiko

Hi, yes that is the family! Thanks for looking them up. Is there a way to
find out if there is any living relatives? They did move apparently in 1969
as their letter said they are moving to Kollwitz in Feb.

Thanks again,
Fred

Can you tell me what this sentence means, Schlegel, Elisabeth, Rent. [OAP],
Donarstr. 14? Is that meaning that Elizabeth rented at this address? If so,
what is (OAP)?
Jahnstr. 2 - Is that a boys name and age, or an address?
Thanks again,
Fred Schutt

Hi Heiko, or anyone,

How do I get information about Walter, Emil and Dora Benedierks? I would
need death, birth, and marriage dates and places, but I don't know how to do
that in Germany. Also would like to find living relatives, any idea how to
do that?
