Seeking living relatives or anyone who knew Walter or daughter Angelica Benedierks from Oldenburg. I have a letter in German from them dated 3 Sept 1969. They were living on Kollwitz Street then.

Also looking for anyone that can tell me about Otto Schlaegel who may have died in the 1930's, his wife was Pauline Heinrich who also died around the same time. Otto is my great grandfather. Otto and Pauline had Alfred Max Schlaegel, my grandfather born in Berlin, and a daughter Elizabeth who is buried with her parents. Elizabeth married a Benedierks and had Walter & Ilsa. I have pictures of Otto, Pauline, Elizabeth, Walter and Ilsa.

Any help at all would greatly be appreciated. Want to find out about my past.

The name Benedierks is not present in Germany, it must be wrong spelling.

We have in Oldenburg an Kaethe-Kollwitz-Strasse but there is not a name like Benedirks.
What is the house number after the street name and the zip code before the town Oldenburg?

My grandfather, Alfred Max Schlaegel came to the United States in 1910 age
20. He changed the spelling to Slagle for us English speaking people and for
ease for business workings. He served in the Army before immigrating to us.
Walter would be his nephew and is most likely deceased.

Thanks for responding. I must mention that Schlaegel is the most direct line
I'm looking for, but had this info on Benedierks. By the way, the Schlaegels
were from Berlin area as far as I know. That's where Alfred was born in Feb
4, 1887.
