The following is from the phone book. <br><br>I am attaching a page from a book that has a reference to Ernst Schilling, son of the Buchenmacher, Georg Schilling of Mehlis Germany. According to the page, Ernst Schilling arrived in Texas in 1850. This seems to be the Ernst you are researching. This family lived for some time in Kendall County, Texas. <br><br>Volunteers from the Burnet County Genealogical Society (BCGS)have looked in the U.S. censuses for the Ernst Schilling family and found them in 1860 and 1870 in Kendall County. In 1880 members of the family were in Bastrop County, and Kendall County, and in 1900 they were in Kendall county. We can send you copies of the census pages, for the cost of postage if you do not have access to them via the internet (Ancestry, Heritage Quest, etc.)<br><br>I hope this helps you in your quest.
