Please accept my apologies for not being able to correspond
in German. I have limited German language abilities for
speaking and reading but none for writing. As a listmember I
came across your reply to 'Eva' and since I have been
attempting to track my ancestors I was naturally curious. My
father (August born 1895 in Vohlynia) and grandfather
(Herman)lived in the East Prussian villages of
Gerwischkehmen and Kleine Baitschen. My father emigrated to
Canada in 1928 and died in 1991. I have not been able to
determine when the family left Vohlynia and returned to East
Prussia. It is my sincere hope that you might be able to
assist me with this search with your information regarding
the Schiemann name. I have also sent this message to Harold
Wambach.
