Hello,
I know that my grandparents came from East Prussia in the early to mid 1880's and arrived in Waukesha, Wisconsin. My grandfather, August Schalla, was born August 1, 1860 in Geirswalde, Kr. Osterode, Ostpr. Two of his brothers also came, Johann Friedrich, born April 2, 1853, and Johann Ludwig, born Oct. 23, 1857. The oldest brother, Carl Ludwig, born Sept. 14, 1849, stayed and married Ottilie Schwanke. They had a son, Julius Carl Schalla, born Dec. 21, 1874, in Geirswalde.
I am wondering if there is any information concerning the Schalla family, especially Carl Ludwig Schalla and his descentdents. Any information and/or suggestions would be greatly appreaciated.
