I am seeking information and history of the Saleski family, of Prussia. Karl Wilhelm Saleski, his wife Mary Lietz Saleski, and 7 children left Schlochau, West Prussia in 1878, and emigrated to Meriden Connecticut, USA. Karl's brother, Andreas Saleski and his family lived and remained in Konigsberg and Heilsberg, East Prussia. There was another ancestor, Karl? Saleski, who had been Mayor of Heilsberg from 1868 through 189?. Any information about the Saleskis from these areas would be appreciated.

I have no Saleski information but I am researching the Schlochau/Konitz area of West Prussia, My ggf, THEODOR HARTMANN WAS IN THE "ACHTE BEZIRK BRIGADE" based in Schlochau in 1877. He may have also lived in the Pollnitz or 'Huelfe bei Konitz' areas. The family came to WALLINGFORD in 1893.
