Suggestion: Use 'google translate' to get a rough translation of messages
and to begin to learn German vocabulary and grammar if you have not been
exposed to it before. Then after becoming a little familiar with how it
works, you can ask for information. The easiest way to communicate a request
to a list-serve is to write what you want to learn in simple English
declarative sentences and use google translate to translate them into
German. Then then include both the English and German versions in your
email.
