I am new to this list and wondering if anyone is researching residents
of Birkenfeld. I am particularly interested in my ancestors, Dreher
family, who emigrated from Birkenfeld about 1855, settling in Illinois,
US, just outside of St. Louis, Missouri.
Thanks for any information you might have about sources of information
for this town, its residents, and even its political situation at the time.
