I am researching the family history of ROLFINGSMEIER. Information I have shows the name to have started as ROLF in mid 1700's, in the Wehdem church records, Westrup area. Records have shown it as ROLFE, ROLFES, MEIER/ROLFES, ROHLFING, ROHLFINGSMEYER and finally ROLFINGSMEIER.

-b. #3 Wehdem 1742 d. 1808
They had 5 children, the 2nd child being-
*Gerd Heinrich Rolfes or Meier/Rohlfing b. 1773 d. 1843
-married Marie Margarethe Eleonore Schmidt
-b. #46 Westrup 1769 d. 1823
They had 4 children, the 2nd child being-
*Johann Heinrich Rohlfing or Rohlfingsmeyer
-b. 1803 d. ?
-married Marie Elisabeth Heldmann b. 1808 d.?
They had 5 children, the 1st child being-
*Johann Friedrich Wilhelm Rohlfingsmeier
-b. 1825 d. 1872
-married Anna Elisabeth Oelze b. 1829 d. ?
-Johann emmigrated to America, settling in the Plum
Hill, Washington County Illinois area.
I am searching for the parents of Claus Herman, and any siblings or relatives. My searching has hit a brick wall with Claus Hermann. Not sure if they are from Wehdem, Westrup area. Any help would be appreciated.
