I have no informations about RIEGER, but about MIELKE in Kamlau! I have e
great database (1590-1880) about my families MIELKE in Pommern (Area
Lauenburg) and Westprussia (Area Putzig, Neustadt). My ancestors MIELKE had
instituded a village with the german name "MIELKENHOF" (Zarnowitz) in the
year 1805. The name of the promotor was my ancestor Johann MIELKE ...

as you easily could see my name is RIEGER and I´m looking for my RIEGER
ancestors as well.
In this case I couldn´t help you.
I have no ancestors from Prussia at least till now but from Baden
Württemberg from the "Hohenlohe"-area especially "Künzelsau" and
surroundings.
Do you have ancestors from that area ?
My database contains RIEGER´s till 1600.
Should we going ahead for looking for matches ?

Yes,I have ancestors from Baden-Wurttemberg.The family names are
numerous.Magdalena Schuhmacher-Rolli was my Gr.Gr.Gm.I found her familytree
online.It is very complete.Her family lived in Wiesental,Baden-Wurtemberg
for many generations.I have attached a picture of the familytree
chart.Onthe bottom of that chart is Magdalena Riger who married Johann
Georg
Greber.If I could ever trace her to my Rieger family it would make my
Grandfather and Grandmother very distant cousins.
As for any common Rieger ancestors we may have I don't have any info other
than Jakob Rieger born 1833 Kamlau,Kreis Neustadt,West Prussia.I may have
some additional info in the future.A friend of mine has ordered film of
church records from FHL.Hopefully we will gain more information about the
Riegers from that area.
All the information of the Schuhmacher familytree came from Catholic Church
records in Wiesental.My Rieger family line were all Lutheran.
