My ancestor George F Riebel (1829-1902) was from Gottramstein and is buried in Skylight, Kentucky. I would happily share what I know about the American branch of the family but I have limited German data.
The place is spelled Godramstein near Landau in the Palatinate.

There is a specific reference in Find a grave with the exact dates:
George Friedrich RIEBEL Jr. 11 Mai 1829 - 1 Mai 1902, Oldham County, Kentucky / Skylight German Cemetry.
married 1859 with Christiana Julia DOERR (1835 - 1903

He can also be found on Myheritage:
Yes, thank you. The cemetery where George and Christina Riebel are buried was just rediscovered this year. It is located inside the inner fence of an abandoned racetrack in Kentucky. I visited it myself in the past month. I found several headstones for people I didn’t recognize. For example, there is a Christian Mayer who might have been married to GF’s sister in Landau. My father thought there were three families who came here together around 1850. Two might have been Riebel and Doerr, and now I’m wondering about Mayer and possibly Becker. They all lived near one another in Skylight/Goshen/Saltillo in Oldham County. But I’m having an immense problem tracing them to Germany. The Riebel liked to always have a son named George Frederick, and the trees get crossed. One source had a GF Riebel as father of a Margaret, with both of them born the same year. I studied some German and I hope there are some records online that I could use to sort the families out.
Thank you, I will check this site!
